A Gentle Approach to Change
My name is Claire Berna, and I believe real change begins when we feel understood, not judged or pushed, but gently supported.
I am a licensed hypnotherapist and wellness curator, helping people release habits and patterns that quietly hold them back. From smoking and weight loss to insomnia and chronic pain, I guide clients toward a calmer, healthier, more empowered relationship with their own mind.
Why This Work Is Personal
This work is personal to me. I once struggled with smoking myself, knowing the harm yet feeling unable to stop. What I discovered is that willpower alone rarely creates lasting change. The mind doesn’t respond to pressure, it responds to understanding.
When I learned how habits are formed in the brain and how hypnosis works with those patterns instead of against them, everything shifted. I didn’t just quit smoking, I changed my relationship with myself.
Where Science Meets the Mind
Before becoming a hypnotherapist, I trained as a cognitive neuroscientist and earned my Master’s degree in France, later working in Clinical Neurology at the University of Oxford and University College London.
My research explored perception, attention, and brain imaging, showing me something powerful: the brain is plastic, always capable of learning, reshaping, and renewing itself.
Today, I blend neuroscience with hypnotherapy to help people gently update the stories their minds have been living by.
How I Work With You
When you work with me, we don’t “fix” you, because you are not broken. We explore what your mind has learned, why it learned it, and how it can learn something healthier.
My approach is calm, personalised, science-based, and guided by empathy.
